Fort Lee Arts & Music Fest

The annual Fort Lee Arts &
Music Fest takes place on Sunday, June 1st - this is the 12th annual Arts
& Music fest in Fort Lee.

There are 140 vendors lined up
for the festival  which is an all time high.  The vendors include
crafters and artists.  We have a food court set up in the Post
Office Parking Lot with other food vendors lining several areas of the
festival.  This festival this year  serves as the  homecoming of
the beloved Fort Lee institution "Callahan's Hot Dogs."  A
decades old establishment across the street from the equally loved
and still operating Hiram's Road Stand, Callahan's closed several years
ago.    However recently a member of the family that operated
Callahan's has established a Callahan's Food Truck which will be in Fort
Lee for the first time at this Arts & Music Fest.

We will have two stages of
free music and the acts include our 2013 Battle of the High School Bands winner
Radioactivity along with local band Double Tap headed by In Napoli chef Sammy
Gnasso, Doc Lane and Loose Change, Billy Panic,  and The Mars Project all
on stage one on Main and Lemoine.  On stage 2 we feature Don Williams Jazz
with Lady Cc and Carlos  Colina Jazz Band.

Lot.  WFDU radio DJ Christine Vitale will be at the WFDU tent providing
music in our Municipal Lot.  Also in the Municipal Lot will be
the Fort Lee Police Dept. Motorcycle display and the Fort Lee
Fire Department / Fire Prevention Bureau interactive displays.

There will be free bounce rides
and a rock climbing wall for kids along with free face painting.

Mobile Museum will make its first appearance in Fort Lee and admission is free.
The museum will be stationed in the Municipal Lot and it
includes displays of a artifacts of such NJ Hall of Fame members as
New York Yankee legend Yogi Berra.  The newest members of the New Jersey
Hall of Fame  have Fort Lee connections - legendary first woman director
and studio owner in cinema history Alice Guy Blache' of Solax Studio in
Fort Lee and the Queen of Salsa the late Celia Cruz who was a long time Fort
Lee resident.

Fort Lee Mayor Mark
Sokolich will present TV icon and former Fort Lee Riviera Nightclub
performer Larry Storch with a proclamation naming him Mayor of
Fort Lee for a Day.  Larry was nominated for an EMMY for his role in the
iconic 1960's TV hit F-Troop  where he played the character of
Corporal Randolph Agarn.  Larry will be at the Fort Lee Film
Commission table near stage 1 from 1 PM to 4 PM to meet with fans and to
preside over the festival as Fort Lee's Mayor for a Day!
