Tom Meyers is a former Fort Lee Councilman, founder of the Fort Lee Film Commission, founder of the Fort Lee Historic Committee, and a member of the Fort Lee Historical Society. Tom’s grandmother started to work in the film industry in Fort Lee as a child in the early 1900s and his family has been involved in Fort Lee’s film industry for the better part of the 20th century. Tom continued that tradition when he worked for NBC News archives in the Brulatour Building on Jane Street back in the 1990s. This building is the last remaining film storage facility in Fort Lee and was once part of the Universal Studio lot on Main Street. Tom also worked for ABC News archives for many years prior to his employment with the borough of Fort Lee.
