My name is Steven Engravalle, and it is my honor and privilege to serve as the Interim Superintendent of the Fort Lee Public Schools. I am truly humbled by the opportunity to lead this great community's outstanding school system, and my pledge to all parents and guardians remains that I will honor your children and work hard each day to help them achieve greatness and success in their lives, while building character and instilling both self-confidence and Fort Lee Pride in each of them.

As you are hopefully aware, our schools and our students have achieved many great successes over the years, and recently, many of schools have begun to see increased improvement in student achievement; SAT and AP participation and accomplishment; community involvement; however, it is not enough. Rest assured, I will continue to rise each morning with the drive, energy, and focus to approach every day with an attitude and work ethic that facilitates and achieves the growth in our students, teachers, staff, and me, making each member of our district “better this day than we were the day before.”

Our schools may become as great as we want them to only if we all take responsibility for achieving true greatness and work together for the children of Fort Lee. Certainly, there is room for everyone in our community to help the Fort Lee Public Schools build a culture of educational excellence for our children; please help us as we strive to “build a bridge” for each child to the future.
