About Maxim

I'm the Web Content Manager and Social Media Specialist for Strictly Bicycles based in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

We just launched our new website and Facebook business page, and American Express Open will be featuring our bike shop in a nationally syndicated television and online commercial launching during the NBA Finals. The radio ads are currently airing nationwide.

I recently represented the borough of Fort Lee in the Gran Fondo New York, a 105-mile cycling race drawing participants from 70 countries.

In exchange for participation in GFNY, I earmarked a need within my community. For me, that cause is the financial support of the ongoing medical expenses of Johnny Damato, a 16-year-old Fort Lee heart transplant recipient.

Although Johnny is emblematic of what transplant families around the world go through – ongoing and unanticipated medical expenses – what has further inspired my support is Johnny’s personal commitment to raise awareness of the need for organ and bone marrow registration and blood donations.

I have pledged to help raise $15,000 for Damato between now through the end of the summer. Proceeds will benefit the COTA for Johnny D medical fund.

I created TheHumanTriumph.com blog to inspire others to look beyond their disabilities and weaknesses to achieve human triumphs through proper training and healthier diets.

On August 11, 2012, I completed my first Ironman - Ironman U.S. Championship in Fort Lee/NYC. My time was 16:28:03. On May 19, 2013, I was one of only 2,230 from over 6,000 participants who completed the 105-mile Gran Fondo NY. My time was 08:25:09.

After completing the 100-mile NJ Highlands Gran Fondo on June 9, 2013, I continue raising funds for COTA for Johnny D as I train for the Aquaphor NYC Triathlon on July 14.
