Craig Weinstein grew up in Colonia, New Jersey.
He graduated from Syracuse  University in 1980 and
the University of San Diego School of Law in 1982. He maintains a general law practice with primary emphasis on real estate, community associations, commercial
litigation, matrimonial, small business representation, estate and trusts, and transactional work. Mr. Weinstein serves as counsel for the Homestudies &
Adoption Placement Services, the Fort Lee Education Foundation, the Fort Lee
Girls Softball League and the Fort Lee Girls Recreational Basketball League.

He helped form the Main Street Revitalization
Committee, which resulted in Main
  Street becoming a Special Improvement District
(SID). Although the SID no longer exists, Mr. Weinstein wrote the ordinance to allow outdoor cafes in Fort Lee, which was passed unanimously by the Borough Council. 
He served on the Sign and Façade Review Committee in Fort  Lee for two years after its inception in February 2008.

Mr. Weinstein is on the Board of Directors of the Homestudies& Adoption Placement Services and the Greater Fort Lee Chamber of Commerce (also serves on Executive Committee and is a past President), and is a former member of the Fort Lee Planning Board. He also immensely enjoys being the public address announcer for Fort   Lee High School boys home basketball games and football games. In addition, Mr. Weinstein provides a paid internship every summer to a Fort Lee High School Academy of Finance student, and serves on the AOF Advisory Board and as a student mentor for the organization.

Mr. Weinstein has lived in Fort  Lee for nearly 30 years.  He is married to Ranee for 20 years and they have two daughters, Jessica, 18 years old and Callie, 16 years old.  When Mr. Weinstein’s daughters were younger, he was actively involved in coaching and sponsoring in-town girls basketball and softball (both of which he still sponsors), along with coaching a softball all-star team.

Mr. Weinstein is passionate about Syracuse University
sports, particularly basketball and football. He is currently a member of the Syracuse University Founders Society and endowed a basketball scholarship in 2000. In 2003, he was presented with a ring from Coach Jim Boeheim when the
team won the national championship. He was one of only two people not associated with the basketball program to receive a championship ring.
