Bronx Man Charged in Connection With Multiple Car Break-Ins in Fort Lee
Police say the alleged crimes occurred over a period of eight months, including three break-ins late Thursday night
A Bronx man has been charged in connection with several car burglaries in Fort Lee over the last year, with the latest incident occurring Thursday night, police said Friday. Nicholas Herman, 31, was arrested Friday around midnight, after he allegedly broke into three vehicles on Hudson Terrace and assaulted a K-9 Unit search dog, Capt. Roy Bortolus said. Police were called to Hudson Terrace after a resident reported that her husband saw a man breaking into a car on the street, Bortolus said. The officer should have let dog "play" with the burglar for a few more minuyes, I would have bet on the dog...   more ›
