One-Woman Play, ‘Tea for Three’ at Fort Lee Library Sunday
Emmy Award-winning actress tackles the roles of three first ladies.
The Fort Lee Public Library announced a special celebration Sunday honoring Presidents’ Day and Valentine’s Day—a performance of the one-woman play, “Lady Bird, Pat & Betty: Tea for Three.” The play “offers portraits of three formidable first ladies,” according to program organizers. Emmy Award-winning actress Elaine Bromka takes on the roles of Lady Bird Johnson, Pat Nixon and Betty Ford in the “thought-provoking perspective on the politics of love, devotion and ‘first ladydom,’” according to organizers. “[It’s] an unforgettable play, offering insights into each leading lady’s life with humor and poignancy,” they said.
