Fort Lee PBA ‘Drive for the Jersey Shore’ Begins This Week
The local PBA is collecting desperately needed items from Nov. 20 to Nov. 30 for some of the people most impacted by Sandy. Once the collection is complete, PBA members will deliver donations directly to communities down the Shore.
The Fort Lee PBA is holding a “Drive for the Jersey Shore” to benefit some of the hardest hit victims of Hurricane Sandy this week starting Tuesday and running through the end of the month, according to PBA president Kevin Kosuda. The local PBA, which will begin accepting donations on Tuesday, Nov. 20, is specifically looking to collect items identified as “most needed at this time.” Those items include but are not necessarily limited to non-perishable foods and canned goods, boxed cereals, cookies, water, sports drinks, baby formula and baby food and diapers. Other needed supplies are toiletries for men and women, cleaning supplies, heavy-duty garbage bags, paper towels, bleach, flashlights, batteries and work gloves, but the PBA notes …
