Fort Lee Police Find Stolen Vehicles, Loaded Gun at Hotel, Charge Four
Police allege the men had two stolen cars, a loaded handgun and $31,000 when they were arrested in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn in Fort Lee Wednesday night.
Four men were charged Wednesday after police found them in a Fort Lee hotel parking lot allegedly in possession of two stolen cars, a loaded handgun and more than $30,000 in cash, authorities said. Fort Lee police Det. Cory Horton was patrolling the area, when he noticed the four “acting suspiciously near four parked vehicles” at about 8 p.m. in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn on Route 4 East in Fort Lee, police said. An on-scene investigation revealed that two of the vehicles had allegedly been stolen. A K-9 search of the vehicles also turned up a fully loaded Taurus .9mm handgun in the glove compartment of one of the cars and about $31,000 in cash in another, police said.
