The Search for Love and Laughs

Sometimes finding love can be really funny.

Who says Valentine’s Day needs to be all love and flowers? Let’s face it, sometimes love doesn’t exactly work out as planned. Whether it’s bad dates or a good intention that led to a bad outcome—like arranging a skiing trip and breaking your leg on the trip, or buying a gift that triggered your beau's allergies— everyone has stories about trying to find, impress or keep “the one.” Some of those stories are pretty hilarious—in hindsight, of course. That’s why Fort Lee Patch wants to hear our residents’ bad, unfortunate or funny stories from past dates, break-ups or attempts to impress their significant other. Fort Lee’s March Madness Starts Today Too

“It’s got more energy sometimes than Madison Square Garden,” said league President Mike Klein.

As college basketball players take to the floor for the beginning of the NCAA Tournament, Fort Lee’s own version of March Madness tips off tonight as well. With a “Madison Square Garden” level of energy alongside a “lose and go home” mentality, the Fort Lee Girl’s Basketball League starts the process of postseason play this evening with a tournament that league President Mike Klein compares to the ever-popular NCAAs. “It’s just as exciting at a different level,” he said.
