The New Synagogue is home to a Hebrew school and a preschool for ages 3 to 4. It also offers adult education programs. The New Synagogue's mission statement says in part, "The purpose of the New Synagogue of Fort Lee is to serve as a foundation of Jewish life in Fort Lee and surrounding communities." It offers a full program of cultural and social activities, including groups such as Minyan, a sisterhood, a men's club and Young Judea. Weekly services are Friday at 6pm and Saturday at 9am. The synagogue continues to operate under of the spiritual guidance of founder Rabbi Meir M. Berger. The synagogue's social hall is available to rent.
