The Fort Lee Borough Board of Education is a member of the New Jersey School Boards Association. The nine-member school board holds regular meetings on either the first and third or second and fourth Mondays of the month at 8pm at the School No. 1 library located at 250 Hoym Street.

Located on Parker Avenue, between Monument Park and the Church of the Good Shepherd, the quaint stone building fits right into its surroundings in a particularly scenic area of downtown Fort Lee. The facility is located on the grounds of George Washington's original encampment. The museum has weekend and Wednesday evening hours only, but group tours are offered throughout the week by appointment. Special exhibits are held throughout the year.
