I know JD's is known for its ribs but I went there a few weekends ago with my heart set on a big, juicy burger. To my surprise, I learned that while they have burgers on the menu, they do not serve burgers on Saturday nights. I have no idea why that would be - perhaps to strong-arm their customers into ordering one of the pricier things on the menu. I told the waitress that I came there just for a burger but she would not budge. I pointed out that they served burgers on the children's menu without any restrictions but she said that they don't serve burgers to children on Saturday nights either. (Really? Children can get spaghetti and meatballs or chicken fingers but heavens no - not a burger? I don't think that was true!) I was extremely disappointed. I ended up ordering a salad and left. Giving JDs a thumbs down!
