This past Saturday, August 24th, the Fort Lee Movies & Music Under the Stars summer outdoor program drew the largest crowds of the summer yet with an appearance by the legendary Jersey band "The Nerds." From the first to the last song these musicians, dressed in their finest checkered Bermuda shorts, engaged the crowd and gave us some of the best music of our summer series. Following their last song and a rousing standing ovation, the crowd shouted for us to bring back The Nerds to our 2014 Movies & Music Under the Stars!
A screening of perhaps the nerdiest film of our summer season, Universal Studio’s ParaNorman, followed this performance. The film, a critical hit at the box office and among critics, capped off a great evening under the stars.

Next up this Saturday, August 31st, music at 7 PM by Fort Lee's own "The Royal Teens" featuring Tommy Austin, followed by a screening of the 2012 film "Dark Shadows" starring Johnny Depp. The film will be preceded by the screening of a short film by local filmmaker John Belitsky titled "Jerzlandia" which consists of footage he shot at the 2012 Fort Lee Feast of Saint Rocco.
