FREE HISTORIC JITNEY TOUR OF FORT LEE SUNDAY JUNE 26

To celebrate the opening of our Farmer’s Market on June 26, the Fort Lee Film Commission and the Fort Lee Historical Society will sponsor a historic jitney tour of Fort Lee out of the Farmer’s Market. The Fort Lee Film Commission will be signing people up for free historic jitney tours of Fort Lee – sign up time is from 9-11AM at the Film Commission table in the Farmer’s Market on June 26.  Tours will run from 11AM to 3PM and the sign up / tours are on a first come first serve basis.

The Fort Lee Film Commission recently won a Bergen County History Grant for the publication of a Film History Map of Fort Lee.  This tour will concentrate on the locations on that map and we hope to have the map complete and ready to be issued to tour goers on June 26.

Among the stops along the way will be several important film locations on Main Street as well as in the Coytesville section of Fort Lee.  The tour will also stop at the old Universal Studio location in West Fort Lee.
