Fort Lee Soccer League Playoffs This Weekend

There is a full slate of games scheduled Saturday and Sunday at the soccer fields and Van Fleet Park, as the Fort Lee Soccer League’s fall league playoffs conclude and champions are crowned. The league is also already in the process of preparing for its Winter Indoor Soccer League with online registration now open for returning players, according to league president Alan Keller.

The schedule for the weekend’s games looks like this:

Saturday

Freshman Division A-Cup Semi-Finals:

Hammerheads vs. Bombers - 4:30 p.m. - Middle School North
Gladiators vs. Bigfoots - 4:30 p.m. - Middle School South

Freshman Division B-Cup Finals:

Netminders vs. Stingers Saturday - 7:15 p.m. - Middle School South

Sophomore Division A-Cup Semi-Finals:

Invaders vs. Gamebreakers - 6:00 p.m. - Middle School North
Goaldiggers vs. Shooting Stars - 6:00 p.m. - Middle School South

Sophomore Division B-Cup Finals:

Routers vs. Sweepers -7:15 p.m. - Middle School North

Jr/Sr Division Semi-Finals:

Breakaways vs. Ballhawks - 4:00 p.m. - Van Fleet
Fireballs vs. Hurricanes - 7:45 p.m. - Van Fleet

Girls Division Semi-Finals:

Power vs. Breakers (EC) - 5:15 p.m. - Van Fleet
Freedom vs. Cyberrays (EC)- 6:30 p.m. - Van Fleet

According to Keller, online registration is currently open for the 2012 in-town, indoor winter league, with games starting Jan. 7. Online registration is for returning soccer players, he said, and can be found on Fort Lee Soccer League’s website on the right side of the homepage.

The league will also be holding walk-in registrations on Nov. 29 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the . Online sign-ups run though Dec. 9.
