Fort Lee Senior Scores 1,000 Career Points

Basketball player will be honored alongside coach who has won 300 games.

Senior DaShaun Washington scored his 1000th career point for the Fort Lee Bridgemen Boy's Basketball Team on Thursday, February 20 at Pascack Hills.

DaShaun more than doubled his average this year by increasing his scoring from 10 ppg to 22ppg and more than tripled his career average   He was also named MVP of the Syracuse Basketball camp this summer.  DaShaun has worked extremely hard int he classroom as well.  

"Off the court DaShaun has also stepped up his game. Over the course of three years he has become a more focused, independent, and self motivated student," his teacher, Brianne Baker, said.

DaShaun will be presented with the game ball from that night during the pre-game of Boy's Varsity Basketball Team's Senior Night onThursday, February 27 at 7 p.m.  

Coach Ziemba will also be honored for winning his 300th game for the Bridgemen.
