Undefeated Teams Face Off in Girls Rec League Contest

The Fort Lee Girls Recreation Basketball League's game of the week was a good one: Norm's Ice Cream vs. Cafasso's Fairway Market.

Two Fort Lee Girls Recreation Basketball League teams played a tough, fast game Tuesday evening at , as Norm’s Ice Cream defeated , 16-5, to take sole possession of first place in the league's third and fourth grade division. The two teams sported identical 4-0 records going into the game.

"The game could be a preview of the upcoming championship game," said league president Michael Klein. "The girls are getting better, and each team is progressing as the weeks pass."

Winning coach David Sarnoff said he was impressed with his team’s effort and happy the girls used all the skills they practice each week.

"They worked together and won as a team," Sarnoff said.

Fairway Market coach Todd Silver said, "The game was a good learning experience for everyone; we got to see some areas we need to practice."

It was a good night of basketball for all the teams that played Tuesday.
