BOE Candidates Have Until Feb. 27 to File Nominating Petitions

The deadline for prospective BOE candidates to file is Feb. 27 at 4 p.m.

The deadline to file nominating petitions to run for seats on the Fort Lee Board of Education is Monday, Feb. 27, at 4 p.m., business administrator and board secretary Cheryl Balletto announced Friday.

If you’re considering running, you can pick up a “School Board Candidate Kit” at the at 255 Whiteman Street.

The kit, which is published by the New Jersey School Boards Association, includes a sample nominating petition and information about legal qualifications for board candidacy, the role of BOE members, information about the New Jersey School Ethics Act, important dates in the election process and briefing sessions for school board candidates.
