On the Agenda: Board of Ed to Talk Residency, Budget

The Fort Lee Board of Education meets Monday at 8 p.m. for its regular business meeting at School No. 1

After a 90-minute private work session Monday evening, the Fort lee Board of Education will open things up to the public at 8 p.m. for its regular business meeting in the library at School No. 1.

In keeping with its promise to “go green” with its agendas, the district posted the full agenda for the meeting online, although they didn’t quite accomplish their stated intention of doing so “by noon of the meeting date.”

Scanning the document, it appears the “Report of the Superintendent of Schools” is an item not to be missed, as it includes a report by the newly formed residency committee as well as mention of the preliminary budget.

Also on the agenda is approval of the monthly budget status certification, according to which there was no over-expenditure in any of the district’s major accounts or funds in January, and the BOE believes “the district has sufficient funds available to meet its financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year.”

Resolutions upon which the board is expected to take action Monday are as follows:
