“The New Jersey Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act has been described as one of the
most stringent anti-bullying laws in the country,” according to Tessaro. “As of September, public schools in New Jersey are required to take a number of steps to address harassment, intimidation and bullying incidents that are reported both on school grounds and in some cases away from schools. If you are the parent of a child who has been the victim of such activities, you should be aware of what the law now requires schools to do regarding the investigation and reporting of bullying complaints.”
