The Fort Lee Board of Education has appointed a former Ramsey and East Rutherford school official as interim business administrator and board secretary for the borough school district, according to a NorthJersey.com report.
Borough school board trustees on Monday voted 7-0 to hire David Rinderknecht for the post after receiving approval from the county school superintendent, the report said. Board members Peter Suh and Helen Yoon were absent.
Rinderknecht will be paid $600 per day, at a maximum of $50,400, to work three days a week through May 5, according to the report.

Rinderknecht was hired to replace Robert Brown, who stepped down to tend to a sick family member.
