Fort Lee High School Gets $1.6M Grant for Improvements

The Schools Development Authority will be helping Fort Lee High School improve through a $1,592,000 grant, the state announced earlier this month.

Renovations at the high school will convert a dance studio into a science classroom with a prep room; revamp seven existing science classrooms and associated prep rooms with new casework, finishes, lighting and HVAC equipment; and convert one existing classroom into a new dance studio.

The project at the high school is expected to cost $3,980,000 in total—the $1.6 million knocks the out-of-pocket cost for the district down to $2,388,000.
