Fort Lee High School Cheerleaders Compete in Nationals

FLHS Cheerleaders reach the nationals in Ocean City, Maryland.

Fort Lee High School cheerleaders are competing in the Reach the Beach Nationals Competition in Ocean City, Maryland, Saturday.

First time new head coach, Jacky Corcoran is very excited to take the girls to Nationals, along with assistant coach Nikki Luppino. Corcoran said that the girls have been through so much this season and are looking forward to ending the season on a positive note.

"They have worked so hard," Corcoran said.

"In order to prepare ourselves, the girls committed to extra practices and long hours."

The eight member team includes: Jessie Cohen, Hailey Klein, Melanie Blitz, Liana Conticello, Camila Jaramillo, Charlotte Kanter, Haruhi Noaki, and Jacqueline Greenfield.

Corcoran said that the team is losing two senior captains this year--Jessie Cohen and Hailey Klein.
