Teaneck Chamber of Commerce Sponsors Chinese New Year Celebration and 40th Anniversary

The Teaneck Chamber of Commerce would like to announce that they will be sponsoring a table at the Chinese New Year Celebration on Sunday, February 12, 2012, at the Hackensack Middle School located at 360 Union Street, Hackensack, New Jersey.  Please remember to visit our table for information about local businesses in the Teaneck Community.  We look forward to seeing you there and showing your support for the Chinese New Year Celebration. 

The Chinese Service Center’s Chinese New Year celebration will kick off a yearlong series of 40th Anniversary events aimed to commemorate Chinese culture and traditions. 

All are welcomed to the CSC Chinese New Year of the Dragon celebration that will be highlighted by wonderful stage performances by our Chinese School students and teachers, as well as exhibitions of student works and the sale of delicious Chinese food.

A festive Lion Dance performance with members of CSC USA, lead by Sifu (Master) Henry Lee, will open this much anticipated CSC Chinese New Year celebration at

1:30PM, followed by festive programs from Chinese Saturday School at the Columbia University, Bergen Chinese School, Bohua Chinese School, Tenafly Singers choir group under the baton of Conductor Chien and King Lai Cultural Dance Theater.

This event is free and open to the public. There will also be a food drive for Center for Food Action of Englewood.  Please help by donating a non-perishable item and bring it to the CSC Booth on the event day. Thank you very much!

The Chinese Service Center who services Bergen Chinese School, Bohua Chinese School, Chinese Saturday School at the Columbia University is a fabulous organization who welcomes everyone in their community to take advantage of their Chinese language educational program.  The best part of these organizations is that they offer classes on Saturdays and Sundays making it convenient for parents and students to accommodate with their busy schedules during the week, said Genesis Liu of the Teaneck Chamber of Commerce.  

The Chinese Service Center USA is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to promote community participation, education, and communication participation, education, and leadership, to foster cultural exchange and awareness, and to promote strength in diversity and heritage values through educational, cultural and community programs. Serving the Bergen County and New York City community since 1971, CSC USA sponsors three Chinese Schools located in Hackensack, NJ and the upper west side of NYC (within Columbia University) and sponsors and supports numerous cultural events and exchanges across the tri-state region.
