One Dead, Two Seriously Injured After…

West Deptford Official Charged with Lewdness

Scott Kintzing, chairman of the township Planning Board, was allegedly naked when a female custodian confronted him outside Oakview Elementary School.

The chairman of the township Planning Board has been charged with lewdness for allegedly stripping naked outside a local school after taking part in a basketball game.

Scott Kintzing, 59, was served with a summons on Nov. 12, said West Deptford Police Chief Craig Mangano.

The incident happened about 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 outside Oakview Elementary School, Mangano said Monday. It was captured on security footage of school grounds.

A female school custodian witnessed Kintzing changing his clothes outside the back of the school after the game. The custodian told police Kintzing was completely naked when she confronted him. After the custodian confronted Kintzing, he drove off, Mangano said.

School officials were notified of the incident and contacted township police, who conducted an investigation.

No children were present at the time of the incident, Mangano said.

Kintzing could not immediately be reached for comment Monday.

His attorney, Jeffrey V. Puff of Woodbury, said Monday afternoon he believes the charge will ulitmately be resolved "favorably" for his client.

"The charge is unfortunate," Puff said. "There were 15 guys playing basketball that night."

Puff declined further comment on the incident.

The charge against Kintzing was transferred from the township's Municipal Court to Mantua's to avoid any potential conflict of interest since Kintzing is a public official in West Deptford. No hearing date has been set, a Mantua court official said Monday afternoon.

If convicted of lewdness, Kintzing faces a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Kintzing, a banker, has been a member of the Rowan University Foundation Board of Directors since 2008.

He had a long career at The Bank (now known as Fulton Bank), ascending to chief executive officer in 2005, and later vice chairman and president of the New Jersey division of Fulton Bank. He retired from the bank in July 2011.

In August of that year, he was named market president of Mount Laurel-based Cornerstone Bank.

Kintzing's son, Hunter, ran unsuccessfully for a township committee seat as a Democrat in 2011.

This message is for Ms. Simpkins, Duchess, Dirk, Francis Dams...My guestimate is that the four of you are very simple minded people who want so desperately to get back at the Democrats for all of their years in power by seizing on a mistake by a very popular person to delight in pretending this is their downfall...and relishing every second of trying to capitalize on it for perhaps more power of your own in the community. Oh, so to a few he is not popular. I guarantee that from the stupid things you say and write...he could care less if you aren't a fan or a friend. I can probably bet though if you saw him tomorrow you would smile and say a hello and when he passes, stab him in the back in the same way you do when you write this high school like crap. As I hinted at before... if we make a line for each of you for former classmates, both college and highschool, former coaches and teachers, friends in the community, coworkers, fellow parishners, organization members, well known county wide humanitarians...oh and Scott Kintzing got to head one of those lines...I can guarantee all of you together would not have a line of people that will have Scott's back and attest to his good character. I wonder if any of you have ever left West Deptford...as you sound downright stupid. Sweet Dreams you little Devils you.

I think you will find he was doing a bit more than just getting changed next to his car, Wifeofacop. The truth hurts lady, plain and simple. I hope you have a great week! Oh and stay away from Oakview School, there are some very strange people lurking around there!

The truth does hurt Duchess, and let's face it... You are very judgmental, uneducated and someone who LOVES to stir the pot... Probably with little friends! I know, i did hear hear there are weird people at Oakview school, right around 3 pm when you are there picking up your kids. If love to know what Scott did that you are oh so angry about. And news flash..... YOU will be surprised when the video is shown and you see him, next to HIS car, take off sweaty clothes and put on nice clothes To go onto his next charity meeting, The Touchdown Club.... GET A LIFE LADY! #duchesslovesdrama

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get over it lady, what is your problem??????? You are one bitter and twisted character and you are getting really boring now, please go away. Oh and there is a very long list from many, many people of reasons why they are angry with Scott and how he has let them down, but as I said before you are getting very dull and boring and I don't have the time, inclination or patience.
