The board has been reviewing the FLRA proposal for the East parcel since its . The FLRA application is primarily residential and includes the two 47-story towers that will house a total of 902 units, some of which will feature dramatic views of the iconic George Washington Bridge, the Palisades and the Hudson River.

FLRA is also donating a movie theater and a museum to honor the borough’s Revolutionary War and pre-Hollywood history.

“Everyone is encouraged to come, to attend, to voice your opinion, cross-examine the experts and make known what is on your mind with regard to this application,” Sokolich said. “I believe it to be the most significant event that … will potentially occur since the opening of the George Washington Bridge. That’s how important I believe this development to be, and it would be incumbent on all the residents here to make sure that they participate.”
