On the Agenda: Council to Vote on Pump Station, Road Improvements

The Fort Lee Mayor and Council executive session reopens to the public at 8 p.m. Thursday in Borough Hall's second-floor conference room

The Fort Lee Borough Council will vote on resolutions related to more than $125,000 in pump station improvements, a $22,000 “sanitary sewer conveyance study” and a grant application for improvements to Whiteman Street, Beverly Hills Road and Gerome Ave. at the Mayor and Council executive session Thursday.

The Council may also approve a fourth amendment to the settlement agreement with FLRA and Tucker--the conditional developers of the east and west parcels respectively of Redevlopment Area 5--once again extending the time period of the plan.

When the meeting is reopened to the public at about 8 p.m. Thursday, the agenda kicks off with an “Engineering Discussion,” which includes six resolutions—or those identified with a resolution number such as “R-1”—upon which the Council could take action:

  • R-1 Awarding Bid for Improvements to 12th Street Pump Station (Rapid Pump & Meter Service) - $112,490.00
  • R-2 Accepting Proposal From Boswell McClave-Construction Inspection Services for 12th Street Pump Station – Fee Not to Exceed $12,500.00
  • R-3 Accepting Proposal From Boswell McClave for a Sanitary Sewer Conveyance Study – Fee Not to Exceed - $22,000.00
  • R-4 Approving Change Order #1 for Rapid Pump and Meter Service Co. for Palisade Terrace Pump Station Improvements - $3,690.00

A public hearing will also be scheduled for Oct. 13—the Mayor and Council’s next regular meeting—on an ordinance refunding $7.5 million in general obligation bonds (Ord. #2011-18).
