Letter: Senate Candidate Aims to Solve America's Problems

To The Editor:

Regarding Op-ed: “We need leaders who provide ‘solutions’” from the Bergen Record (Your Views, July 11):

Mario from Paramus recently made a ridiculous statement that Steve Lonegan “does not offer any positive solutions.”

The writer correctly points out many of the problems facing our nation, but these problems are exactly what Lonegan is running for the U.S. Senate to solve.

No one in our state has spoken out more about our insane national debt, bloated budgets and Federal Reserve excesses than Lonegan.

The writer bemoans the loss of jobs and high unemployment, but forgets that the recession lags through the second Obama Administration in large part because of the president’s health care law, the Dodd-Frank law that’s strangling our markets and the president’s very left-wing radical agenda that stifles innovation and sends jobs overseas.

I am sick and tired of being represented by left-wingers in Washington. I’m looking forward to voting for, electing and being represented by “Sen. Lonegan.”
