Fire Chiefs to Be Sworn In at Mayor and Council Meeting

On the Agenda: The Fort Lee Mayor and Council regular meeting starts at 7 p.m. Thursday in Council Chambers.

Keith Sabatino officially took over as Fort Lee Fire Chief on Jan. 1, when Mark Sulcov became Deputy Fire Chief and former Fire Chief William Chiappane became Battalion Chief of the . All three will be sworn in and take the oaths of office at a ceremony at Thursday evening when the Fort Lee Mayor and Council hold their regular meeting.

Sabatino replaces outgoing Fire Chief Jeff Silver.

Also preceding the meeting proper will be a presentation from the Historical Committee “on Behalf of Henry Hoebel.”

Highlighting Thursday’s meeting agenda are the introduction of three ordinances, including one that would amend the redevelopment plan for Redevelopment Area 5; a 12-item consent agenda, including one that would authorize a purchasing consultant “to prepare specifications and advertise for requests for proposals” for a “red light traffic program;” and eight resolutions, including a seventh amendment extending the time period of the Redevelopment Area 5 settlement agreement.
