The ceremony honoring the emergency service agencies of the Borough of Fort Lee will be held at Constitution Park off Linwood Ave. starting at 9:59 a.m. with a moment of silence at precisely the time of the collapse of the South Tower of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. Another moment of silence will follow at 10:28 a.m. in remembrance of the collapse of the North Tower.
The event will feature distinguished speakers, readings of ceremonial plaques, presentations of emergency service agency plaques and a Mayor and Council wreath.
There will also be concluding thoughts and a closing benediction by local clergy and the ceremonial lighting of Fort Lee's eternal light.
