County to Vote on Open Space Trust Fund Allocations

Freeholders to vote on grants for several municipalities, including Fort Lee, at June meeting

Bergen County's Board of Chosen Freeholders will be holding a public hearing in June on their proposed expenditures for the Municipal Park Improvement and Land Acquisition Program.

The program is part of the Open Space Trust Fund for 2010. Grants from the program will help municipalities fund improvements to parks and recreational facilities. The county plans to spend a total of $2,026,852 in 45 different communities.

Fort Lee is slated to receive $34,7000 for a rubber surface playground at Inwood Terrace Park at Deerwood Rd. and Juanita Place.

The board will be hearing public comment on the proposed allocations during their meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. on June 20 in the Freeholder Public Meeting Room on the fifth floor at One Bergen County Plaza.
