Could Gov. Chris Christie be too liberal for conservative voters in a national race?

During an interview with "FOX News Sunday," Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain said Christie is too liberal for many conservatives if he makes a run for the White House, the Associated Press reports.

Cain pointed to Christie's views on global warming, gun control and immigration as areas where the governor differs with conservatives, according to FOXNews.com.

During his gubernatorial campaign, Christie expressed support for New Jersey's gun control laws, according to the New York Times. Christie has also said global warming is a real, man-made issue. 

On immigration, the governor was slammed by some for saying being an undocumented immigrant is not a crime, LATimes.com reported.
