Union City Man Busted After Courthouse Marijuana Break, Police Say

Man caught with marijuana at Fort Lee court, according to Port Authority police.

A Union City man at the Fort Lee courthouse to answer a marijuana charge was arrested Thursday morning after he stepped outside to smoke pot, police said.

Jose A. Guzman, 23, was back inside the borough court when a Port Authority police officer noticed he smelled of the drug, according to Port Authority police spokesman Joseph Pentangelo.

“The male then admitted to Port Authority Police that he had left the courthouse to smoke marijuana and was just returning after the respite,” Pentangelo said.
