Port Authority Police Grab Man Trying to Jump from GWB

Three Port Authority police officers pulled a 46-year-old Fairview to safety as he threatened to jump from the George Washington Bridge Friday afternoon, the agency said.

Officers Stephen Gryboski, Michael O’Sullivan and Fred Corrubia engaged the would-be jumper in conversation before reaching over the bridge railing to grab the man’s arms and clothing around 2:40 p.m., according to a police spokesman.

Corrubia recently made headlines for catching a purse snatcher while off-duty and vacationing in Massachusetts earlier this month.
