Police Presence Increases Near Schools After Suspicious Incident

Investigation revealed incident Thursday near School No. 3 was not a luring attempt.

Fort Lee Police are increasing patrols near borough schools after a suspicious incident Thursday.

An investigation revealed the incident near School No. 3 was not a luring attempt, according to a police statement.

However, there have been several reports of luring attempts throughout Bergen County and Fort Lee police plan to increase presence of uniform and plain clothes officers near all of the district's primary and secondary schools "for at least the next few weeks."

Police urge residents to be vigilant of suspicious activity and to call them at 201-461-8000.
