Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Fort Lee Hit-and-Run

Police ask for public's help in locating vehicle that fled the scene

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries Wednesday after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run on Slocum Way, police said.

A statement posted on the Fort Lee Police Facebook page described the injuries as “very serious.”

Police said the fleeing vehicle was possibly black with front-end damage. Few additional details were immediately released on the crash, reported shortly before 6 p.m.

Anyone with information was asked to call borough police at 201-592-3524 or the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit at 201-336-7700.
