Elderly Man Seriously Injured in Suspected Hit-And-Run

Police ask anyone with information about the incident at Linwood Ave. and Bridge Plaza North Monday to contact the FLPD

Fort Lee police say an elderly male pedestrian sustained a “life threatening head injury” after he was hit by an unknown vehicle at the intersection Linwood Ave. and Bridge Plaza North in Fort Lee Monday in an apparent hit-and-run.

The accident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. Monday, and the vehicle allegedly fled the scene, according to police.

The victim, who was found with serious head injuries at the intersection, was taken to the hospital, police said. His condition was not known as of Tuesday morning.
