A man's body was pulled from the mud beneath the George Washington Bridge early Thursday morning.

The man, described as 5-foot-7, white and in his 40s or 50s, was found at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday at the base of the New Jersey tower, according to NJ.com.

The body is in the Bergen County Medical Examiner's custody, the article said.
