Cops Searching for Missing Father of Two

Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man whose car was found abandoned on the Palisades Interstate Parkway.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a married father of two who has been missing since last week.

According to a release from Fort Lee Police Chief Keith Bendul, cops found an abandoned Silver Honda CRV SUV parked at the Rockefeller Lookout on the Palisades Parkway on April 7.  

Police have been conducting ongoing searches for the car’s owner, Hans Jong Lee, 50, of Fort Lee, since they found the car and determined that he's been missing from 11 a.m. on the morning of April 7, Bendul said.

The married father of two is described by police as being Korean, 5’7”, 175 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, and a birthmark on his hand. He was last seen wearing beige pants, light blue t-shirt, navy polo jacket, police said.

“The Palisades Interstate Parkway Police and the Fort Lee Police Department Emergency Services Unit conducted extensive searches of the Rockefeller Lookout and the surrounding area,” Bendul said in the release.

“The Englewood Cliffs Fire Department, the New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit assisted with the searches. In addition New York City Police Department Harbor Unit participated in the investigation.” 

Police are now asking anyone who may have information about Lee’s disappearance or whereabouts, or who was at the lookout last Monday, to contact the Fort Lee Police Department at 201-592-3510 or 201-592-3700.
