The Weekend Guide: 11/30-12/2

Could it be? Another weekend is here? Yep, Hulafrog has a ton of fun events to keep you and your family busy all weekend long...

Could it be? Another weekend is here? Yep, and this one's a good one with tons of holiday fun to get your kiddos in the holiday spirit. Take your pick of a Holiday Party in Bergenfield, a tree lighting in Ridgefield Park or a Holiday Boutique in Tenafly, and there's plenty more where that came from to give your kids a glimpse of Santa or some Christmas fun. And when you’re out and about, don’t forget to tell ‘em Hulafrog sent ya!

FRIDAY:

Pre-School Open Workout
Your tiny gymnasts will flip for this open workout session that gives little ones, ages 5 & under, the chance to fine tune their gymnastic skills. Students are free to practice throughout the gym at their own pace, in a less structured & fun environment.

SATURDAY:

Kids Workshop
While mom & dad shop for holiday decorations the kids can build, learn & create at Home Depots Kids Workshop. This week is all about winter. Your kiddos will get to build their own winter photo frame that would make a perfect gift for that special someone.

Rainy Day Mobile Craft
Lakeshore Learning Store offers free crafts each Saturday from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. This week your kiddos can make a fun rainy day mobile they can use to decorate their room.

Colonial Afternoons
Head to the Fort Lee Historical Park Saturdays & Sundays through December for a live history lesson in Colonial Times. You and your family will witness life as it was over two centuries ago. Demonstrations in cooking, gardening, sewing, games, music and soap making will take place throughout the day. The kiddos are sure to love the musket demonstration that happens at 1:00 PM & 3:00PM.

Open Gym Workout
Let your little gymnast’s fine tune their skills at this open workout session for ages 5 & older. Students are free to practice throughout the gym at their own pace, in a less structured environment.

Bergenfield’s Annual Holiday Party
Stop by Cooper’s Pond for some holiday fun including yummy refreshments, a train ride with an elf, horse drawn carriage rides and more! And, of course, Santa will be on hand to distribute gifts and candy canes for kiddos under 12. Stick around for the tree lighting at 4:30 PM.

SUNDAY:

Holiday Boutique
Do some one-stop-shopping for all your family members at Temple Sinai’s Holiday Boutique. While mom shops for gifts, accessories, toys, books, family photo packages, and more, the kiddos can keep occupied and active with some fun activities from Kidville of Englewood. There will also be a raffle and silent auction. On your way out, grab some treats from the bake sale…proceeds go toward Hurricane Sandy relief. The sale runs through Monday, December 3.

Meet Up & Clean Up
Teach your kiddos the value of volunteering at a young age. Join the Palisades Interstate Park and the Appalachian Mountain Club for a volunteer clean up project this Sunday. This rewarding project takes place at Ross Dock Picnic Area. No need to bring supplies…the park provides trash bags, litter sticks, gloves, and TREATS.
