The Weekend Guide 11/16-11/18

The hectic holidays are about to begin! Take advantage of this Pre-Thanksgiving weekend to spend some extra special Q-T with the kiddos. Check out Hulafrog's Weekend Guide for some great ideas...

How about getting some good Q-T in with your kiddos before the relatives arrive next week?  We've got some awesome options.  You can't go wrong with a tea party at Pottery Barn Kids or a hike and a history lesson at Fort Lee Historical Park, but check out our full guide for more great events happening this weekend.  And when you’re out and about at these activities, don’t forget to tell ‘em Hulafrog sent ya!

FRIDAY:

Pre-School Open Workout
Your tiny gymnast’s will flip for this open workout session that gives little ones, ages 5 & under, the chance to fine tune their gymnastic skills. Students are free to practice throughout the gym at their own pace, in a less structured & fun environment.

Open Jump
After a long week at school, the kiddos are probably a bit jumpy anyway.  So, why not stop by Jump Up N Bounces Open Jump and let them burn off some steam.  They’ll have a blast jumping, bouncing and making new friends.

SATURDAY:

A Hike & a History Lesson
Give the kiddos a history lesson this weekend at the Fort Lee Historical Park’s “The Times That Try Men’s Souls”.  They’ll love learning about and witnessing actual reenactments of life and events that occurred in our area during the Revolutionary War.  This weekend long event kicks off with a parade to Monument Park on Saturday morning.  End your day with a family hike through the scenic Palisades Interstate Park.

Thanksgiving Turkey Collage
Lakeshore Learning Store offers free crafts each Saturday from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.  This Saturday your kiddos can create a festive feathered friend they can bring along to your family feast.

Open Gym Workout
Let your little gymnast’s fine tune their skills at this open workout session for ages 5 & older.  Students are free to practice throughout the gym at their own pace, in a less structured environment.

Nature Story Hour
Grab your kiddos, ages 3-7, and head to Tenafly Nature Center for a nature themed story and a visit from one of TNC’s education animals.  Your little ones will learn about the characteristics of the animal as well as the story of how they became part of the Nature Center.

Meet the Author of “Mousterpiece”
Meet Jane Zalben, the author of “Mouseterpiece” this Saturday at Womrath’s in Tenafly.  Jane will be reading and discussing her new book before helping kiddos create their own mouseterpiece.  She will also be signing books, so preorder your copy before the event.
