Cross-Blogging on the Fort Lee Patch

As part of my continuing diatribe in opposition to cross-blogging, I would like to cite the chain of blogging pollution since January 26, 2012.

On the “Local Voices” of the Fort Lee Patch, where “local” is apparently now construed as anywhere in North Jersey, the following individuals have saturated the page with the usual conglomeration of advertisements, promotions, and recipes.

Tammy Vallar, Franklin Lakes decorator, advertised her wares again, while Martin Rosenfeld, Esq. of Fair Lawn gave us a double dose of divorce lawyer salesmanship.  Gina Mastrogiovanni, apparently of the Wayne, NJ area, is totally blatant in her promotion as a personal trainer.  Mark Berman, Esq. of Fair Lawn and Paramus returns with a highly controversial child abuse case.  Julie Anne Juba could not be more obvious in her promotion of her travel firm out of Wyckoff, NJ. “Bergen Mama”, Jennifer Law, operating across Bergen County, offers her recipe of the week.

Elise Cho from Power Martial Arts is a Fort Lee business, so at least it is local advertising. I am less critical of Aaron De Groat’s sports blogs, as they are not self-serving.

Upon googling the name “Pat Tyler Kinney’, we locate an individual having an affiliation with Fort Lee, currently living in Leonia, who can be forgiven for anything as an ex-Playboy bunny.

While these “polluting blogs” are infesting our Fort Lee Patch, Josh Sudarma’s insightful blog into the loss of Fort Lee’s Borders book store was demoted to page 2, most likely never to be read again.  We are left with a Page 1 without one legitimate Fort Lee blogger.  Obviously, I am attempting to remedy that situation.

I am a big fan of “The Patch”.  I truly want it to survive so I can continue to blog on anything and everything, with special attention to local issues.  I sincerely hope that all the above advertising bloggers are at least paying “The Patch” some real advertising fees to justify their inclusion on our “Voices” page.
