Rum Runners - Jazz Trio

The Fort Lee Public Library proudly kicks off the New Year with
our first music program on Sunday, January 12th at 2pm in the Lower
Level Meeting Room. The hour-long presentation will feature the jazz trio: Rum
Runners. Based upon the classic cocktail trios of Nat “King” Cole and Oscar
Peterson, Rum Runners Jazz Trio's instrumentation of Guitar, Piano, and
Acoustic Bass embodies the very essence of American musical elegance. With the
guitar and piano offering both harmony and melody the sound is incredibly lush,
and the propulsion of the bass takes on the percussion role with aplomb. The
all instrumental program will draw on the beautiful melodies of the American
Songbook tradition as well as the bossa nova music of Brazil and a few
unexpected pieces from outside the jazz repertoire. For more information about
the Rum Runners, visit their website: www.rumrunnersjazz.com   Admission is free, seating is limited, children under 8
must be accompanied by an adult.
