Community Corner
Poetry Workshop
On Thursdays
in January (16th, 23rd and 30th) at 7:30pm, Ms. Baldanzi
will lead a “Poetry Workshop” open to those 17 years old and up who have
written poems. Poems are
a group of words chosen by you to say something with meaning. This workshop
offers you a chance to read your poems to others in the workshop, and to
receive constructive feedback from the others as well as from the instructor.
We will explore what the poem is saying and how it is made contributes to
its various meanings. Bring one of your poems to the first workshop.
The instructor, Linda Baldanzi has a MFA in Poetry and Poetry in Translation from Drew University. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and has a MA in psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a MS in clinical social work from Columbia University. Her poetry has been published in respected poetry journals.
