Piano Duet

The
Fort Lee Public Library is pleased to welcome back, the husband and wife piano duet,
Svitlana Syrtsova and Sergey Krivonos.  The art of  four
hands piano playing creates an unforgettable listening experience: doubling the sonorities
and dazzle of the piano, the precise coordination of four hands on instrument, an
eloquent musical dialogue between pianists.

Syrtsova
received her D.M.A in Piano Performance from the Ukranian Academy of Music,  Ed.
M from Teacher’s College, Columbia University. Distinguished Ukranian pianist Sergey
Krivonos successfully combines solo and chamber performances with a teaching
career. His solo repertoire ranges from Bach to Prokofiev to Messiaen.

The
program will highlight piano duet written by romantic composers and virtuoso pianists
such as Liszt (mazeppa), Grieg (Per Gynt), Brahms (Hungarian Dances) and Rachmaninov
(Morceaux op.11).
