Jane Sklar : Exhibit at Fort Lee Library

Jane Sklar is a Cornell University graduate,
artist/photographer, videographer, and jewelry designer. Born and raised in New
York City, she currently resides in Fort Lee.
Together with her teacher and mentor, Max Cartagena, Jane has perfected
a unique style of transforming her original photographs into dazzling digital
creations, utilizing a handful of both photo editing and graphics programs
without the use of Photoshop®. She massages, splices, layers and manipulates
the playful pixels; the results are a journey of color, fantasy, and whimsy for
the senses. She has won numerous awards, most notably Best in Photography at
the 2012 Edgewater Arts and Musical Festival, and 2nd Place for
Photography/Digital Media Bergen County-wide in the "Art in the Park"
held in October 2013. Her work has been shown in NY and NJ galleries, and is
currently in a long term show in the Broadway Suites Art Gallery in Manhattan
at two locations.
