Calling all singers to AUDITION for the NJ Association of Verismo Opera Chorus. Applicants should bring 1 or 2 songs to perform. An accompanist will be provided.
Male choristers, representing all vocal ranges and ages, are especially needed for the Verismo Opera Chorus. Sight-reading ability is definitely a plus, but not necessary. No prior stage experience is required.
Under Chorus Director Mara Waldman, singers will explore grand opera through active performances. Applicants should bring 1 or 2 songs to perform. An accompanist will be provided. During 2013, the company will present I Pagliacci and Gianni Schicchi on April 21 and Suor Angelica and Cavalleria Rusticana on October 20 all at the Bergen Performing Arts Center at 3:00 p.m. in Englewood, NJ.
