Ridgewood Teachers Feel 'Lack of Respect'

The lack of a new contract for teachers reached a boiling point Monday night, with hundreds of Ridgewood Education Association (REA) members staging a protest on claims the school board has been "disrespectful" and is not negotiating in good faith.

Teaneck High School was briefly locked down Thursday afternoon while police conducted a search for a weapon after receiving a report that there was a gun in the building. Police did not find a weapon and the lockdown was lifted after the search.
