Teaneck Conference to Address Autism in Korean Community

Autism resources, science to be discussed Saturday

A free conference for Korean parents of autistic children is set for Saturday at the .

The conference will include information on resources provided by Autism New Jersey to the Korean community and discussions about the science of autism, according to the conference website. The conference will be held in Korean with a simultaneous interpreter to translate the English presentations into Korean.

Dr. Young-shin Kim, associate professor at the Child Study Center at the Yale School of Medicine, will serve as keynote speaker.

Guest speakers will include:

  • Bennett Levinthal, Ph.D., Deputy Director of Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research 
  • Elizabeth Harriman, Bilingual speech therapist
  • Elizabeth Roberts, Ph.D., Neuropsychologist at NYU Child Study Team
